London Markets.
(Per Press Association.) London, Janaary 7. Wheat has risen 6d per quarter. The imports into the United Kingdom during the past year show a decrease of _3,678,000, whilst the exports have increased _231,000. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company have received the following cable message, dated London, January 4th : — Frozen meat — Mutton market lias an upward tendency. Canterbury is worth 4d per Ib, Wellington 3jjd per lb. Tallow — There is little demand, it has declined 3d per cwt since last report. Butter — Market firm. Fine qualities New Zealand are worth, 96s to 100s per cwt.
