SOUTH AUSTRALIA v NEW SOUTH WALES. (Per Press Association.) Adelaide, January 7. South Australia in their first innings scored 270. The following are the prin. oipal scores :— Lyons 47, Binman 37, Dyer 26, Reedman 20, and 0, Jarvis (not out) 98. London, January 7. The Speaker states that it would back Stoddart'a eleven to win two out of any three matches against the best teams the colonials could place in the field. The National Observer says the Queen has taken the greatest interest in the re* suit of the matches. Ballarat, This Day. The cricket match was drawn. The local team were all out in the first innings for 183. The Englishmen in the second innings lost 7 wickets for 149. Brockwell 35, Stoddart 32. The following players -will represent Feilding in the Cup match against Car. narvon, to be played at Feilding on Saturday next : — Messrs Levett, Hunter, Grant, Reade, Hill, Innes-Jones, Carty, Broughton, Bartholomew (2), and Halcombe ; emergencies, C. Fitz Herbert and Moore. All the above and the other members or intending members of the club are requested to attend practice tomorrow afternoon at 2.30. The Feilding Club have been presented with an additional net by Mr C. FitzHerbert, of Cinder Hill.
