It is the intentioii of ;the Pohapgina County Coiincilt-tina®^ powers containea in " The tbcalßodies Loajis Act, "1886," bi ■amendment thereef, to raise loans under "The Government Loans to , Bodies Act, lßß6^;asfoUows: For the - construction of xoactworks m the Feeding Special Settlement Block, being part of MangapikbpilJo riding, to the aniount of fotthe payment of faiterest at 5 per cent, on the same lor twenty-six years it is proposed to stride a special rate of one penny in the £ on thr whole, of the value of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands exceptSi) within the Feilding Special Settlement' Block.^-For works m the Mangoira-Coal Creek Block, withm the Mangapikbpiko ridnig, iio the amount of £2746 7s- -6d> Proposed to strike a Speciar Rate of threepence half -penny in the £, for payment of interest at 5 per cent for twenty-six years. A meetin* of "ratepayers, , $p discuss the above _ loan proposals, wiu be held at Mr Guy's ~ Hall, Api^, on Thursday, 10th January, 1895, at noon. •. •For works in the Coal Creek Riding — of the Pbhangina County, to the amounts -^. 0fL4900; and^3oo. For the former it is proposed to levy a Special Rate of threepence half -penny in the £ _ on various sections within the said riding, and for the £300 loan it is proposed to levy a Special Rate of three-eighths ot a penny in the £. A meeting of ratepayers to discuss these proposals will be held at Mr Bell's woolshed, Oroua river, on Thursday, 10th January, 1895, at noon.
