Laery and Co. report : -Wheat —Prime milling meets with some little enquiry and , several lots have changed hands at our i quotations, Prime milling 2s 7d to 2s 8d ; medium to good, 2s si}d to 2s 6£d, f.o.b. Southern ports : whole fowl wheat 2s 7d to 2s 8d ex stores. ; Oats - Bright short feed, 2s; good, Is lOd to Is lid ; medium, Is 8d to Is 9d ; Tartarian, seed, Is lOd ; Danish, Is Bd. Chaff Enquiries are chiefly confined to bright clean samples, which find ready sale at our quotations — Prime bright heavy 72s 6d to 75a ; good 65s per ton. Potatoes— Old Derwents are in fair supply, and great difficulty is experienced in quitting present stocks. Blenheim, 30s; best Oamaru, 37s 6d per ton, sacks 1 included. New Potatoes — Considerable quantities are now reaching us from the Hutt dis trict, which are meeting with moderate sale at prices quoted.— Kidneys, 5s to 5m 6d : round, 4s per cwt. Onions — Prime Melbourne are worth nominally 8s to 9s per cwt. Cocksfoot — In the absence of sales we repeat our last quotations. Best machine dressed, 4s d to 6d ; bright undressed 4d to s^d ; discoloured 53£ d to 3Jd per 1b Butter — Prime separator in roll lOd : ordinary 9d ; dairy, 4d to 6d ; prime salt, 6Jd to 7d ; pastry, 3d per lb. Cheese— Prime factory, 4^d ; loaf-size 5d to sid per lb. Poultry — Turkey scarce at 8s ; geese slow of sale at 5s ; fowls 3s , ducks, 3s 9d to 4s 3d per pair, Fungus — In good demand at 3d to 3^d per 3b
