The Butter Market.
The New Zealand, Farmers' Dairy Union, in view of the uncertain state of the butter market at Home, tave issued the following circular to shareholders : — " I regret to have to inform you that, owing to the considerable fall in colonial butter in the English market, and as tiio Union place tho greater portion of their ' output upon this market, and can only -A obtain an advance against it equal t fl two-thirds of the prices ruling in Eng. V land at the time of such advance, onr fl Directors find it necessary to deduct 7£ fl per cent, from the amount to be ad- fl vanced for milk supplied during the past '.fl month. The Directors, however, anti. fl cipate a substantial balance from tir sales, which will be returned to the,<*^^H pliers in the shape of bonua-upon w supplied at the end of the season, t desire to express a hope that the si^^fl pliers will stand loyally to the Uni j^B during tbe present trying times, and i-^H remind them that without their suppm^H the Union cannot be the success that al^fl connected with it trust that it may^fl prove. The Directors also desire to^B point out tbat they have decided to re-^B duce the standard per centage from 3*B^| to 3-6 in conformity with the wish of the^B suppliers, and feel confident that this^B will meet with your approval."
