The New Bishop.

A meeting of tho Staudiug Committee of the Wellington Diocese was held last Thursday afternoon. Present. — Archdeacon Fancourt (chairman), Revs T. H. Sprott, J. Jones and R. Coffey, Messrs W. H. Quick, C. O. Zohrab aud C. P. Powles. The Chairman stated that tho consecration of Dr Willis, Bishop-elect, would take place at 11 o'clock on January 25th and on that day at evening service His Lordship will be installed. On the following Sunday there will be a cathedral service in the afternoon, at which the Bishop of Salisbury is asked to preach. Ho will also preach at tho consecration service. It is intended on the oveuiug of Saturday, January 20th, to have a gathering of church members iv the Drillshed to welcome the new Bishop.
