(Per Press Association.) Wellington, December 12 The four championship events in oon* neotion with the Wellington Amateur Athletic Association were decided on tbe Basin Reserve this evening in the presence of 500 spectators. Following are the results : — 440 yds Hurdles— F. Harley, 1. F. Pownall and J, D. Barnett also started* Pownall and Harley led until the last hurdle, when the former fell, and Harley ran in an easy winner. Time, 64aece. 250yda flat-P. J. Nathan, 1 ; S. W. Richardson, 2 ; W. F. Larkm, 3. These were the only starters- Won by l£yds, but Lark in would have been close up had be not been jostled at the home turn* Time, 28 4-5 sees. Three mile flat— F. C. .ngell, 1. Four others ran, but were only on the track to make tbe pace for Angell, a youth still in his teens, who finished up in 16min l-sth sec, thus obtaining standard honors, tbe time for which he beat by nearly lOsecs. Half-mile flat— A. M. Stuart, 1 ; H. G. Henderson, 2 ; F. Harley, 3. H. McKay also ran. Stuart led throughout and won comfortably by about a dozen yards. Time, 2mins 6 3-sth sees.
