Manchester Rifles.

A meeting of the Shooting Cominittoo of the Manchester Rifles was held last uight at the Manchester Hotel. Prosont—Lieutenant Bray (in the chair), Sorgeant Aitkon, Corporal Parker, Yoluutoor J. Scott, and the Socretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were road and confirmed. Tho Secretary reported that since last meeting tho Corps had won a match with the Marton Rifles, that Yolunteor Scott had won the silvot watcli presented by Mr Bastings, aud that ten Martini rifles for tho use of tho corps had arrived and woro served out. A letter was read from tho Hon. Gcuoral Foildiug, to Captain Kirtou, stating that ho was forwarding a Challengr trophy for competition. It was decided, That the Hon. Gone* ral Feilding's Challongo Trophy bo tired for as follows: — Six competitions, tho aggregate of tho four highest scores to win, tho trophy to bo hold by the winner for throo years. Ranges — 200, 800, and f>oo yards, 7 shots, with sightors, Snidor rifles; tho first competition to bo on the second Wednesday in January, 1895. Resolved, That Class C contiuuo their competition ou "Wednesday uext, aud that a Martini Handicap Sweepstake bo fired for amongst members on tho raugo at 2 p.m., ranges— 3oo, COO, and 600. Tho meeting then adjourned.
