MRS MAYOR YATES DEFEATED. [PBB PBBBB ASSOCIATION.." Auckland, November 28 Mrs Yates was defeated for the Mayoralty of Oaehunga by Mr Donald Sutherland by 147 votes to 56. Wellington, November 28. Following is the result of the Mayoral election :-C. M.Luke, 786; A. Brandon, 676 ; L. L. Harris, 201. Dunbdin, November 28. A good deal of interest was taken in the Mayoral election to-day Mr H. S. Fish was re-elected, polling 853 votes, his opponent (Mr W. Dawson) received 747 votes, Fish's majority beiug 106. Christchuhch, November 28. Councillor W. H. Cooper has been elected Mayor of Christchurch with 587 votes, and Mr Gapes, the present Mayor polled 364 and Councillor E. Smith 246. Palmkbston Nobth. November 28. The Mayoral election yesterday was keenly contested. The candidates were Mr W. Park and Mr W. T. Wood. Mr Park was re-elected with a majority of 68, Mabton, This Day. Mr J. J. McDonald has been re-elected Mayor of Marton. Woodvillk. Tin- !•» Mr E. A. Hapgen was elected Mayor by a majority of 17 over Jas. Taylor. Bawbba, Tbi* Day. Mr Major was re-elected to the Mayoralty defeating Bobbins, 134 to 113.
