Messrs Abraham and -Williams report : On Saturday a full yard of horses came forward anjl-there was fair competition for all sorts of hacks. For draughts there was a moderate demand, the bulk of the Canterbury consignment found purchasers. We quote: — Hacks from £6 to Ll2 ; others, £2 to X' 4 10s ; trap mare, Lls 5s : draughts from Lls to Ll7 10s At Pahiatua on the 13th instant we had a rather more than average entry including some verr valuable steers. Cattle sold freely from weaners upwards No sheep were sold uuder the hammer, but were all disposed of afterwards. We quote ;— Ewes and lambs, 7s 6d ; mixed fat sheep, 88 ; shorn hoggets, Ss ; inferior hoggets in wool, 6s ; beef light weights, L 6 10< to L 6 12s ; 9-yr. steers L 4to L 4 2s 6d ; 2.t-yr steers, ±3 8s 6d to L 3 10a ; 2£-yr hei fer ■in calf. L 3 Ids ,* 2-yr heifers L 2 15s ; yearlings L2gs ; good weaners, 39s to 41s ; dairy cow springing to calve, L 6 10s ; \ bred yearling Holstein bull, L 4: others. L 2 10s.
