Serious Mining Accident.
[PEE PBBBB ASSOGIATIQN. I Keeftox, This Day. An accident occurred yesterday at the Progress Company's battery. Tho manager, (Jr. black, and six others were engaged repairing the rope of tho aerial train and, while putting on a rope to bring round full buckets, the rope parted from the terminal carriage when latter reached incline carrying everything with it. Black and A. Pearc* were thrown violently down the slope, among broken m.etal, etc. The former susj. tallied' a sqver.o scalp wp.un.d, tpa'ise.s qt} jegs aqd bqdy. Pearce was injured on the right bjdp and has a deep wqund an his het^d, dislocated a finger. AnQ%prmau uan}ed|Patterspi} al^p qasty guts, The accident will iuteffore with work for somo days.
