Baptist Union.

(Per Press Association. Christchurch, November 16. The Baptist Union passed a resolution to do its utmost towards the suppression of the liquor traffic. The invitation of the Napier Church to hold its next meeting there was accepted with thanks. The following officers were elected : — President, Rev. W. A. Wolley, Thames ; vice-president, Mr H. Oltjey, Christchurch ; secretary, Rev. A. H. Collins, Ponsonby ; Mr J. T. Garlick, Auckland ; committee, Roys. A. North, J. J. Doke, A. Dewdney, J. B. Dakie and Mr G. Carson. The Rev. A. Dewdney and Mr H Eaton were appointed editor and manager respectively of the " New Zealand Baptist."
