To Travel this Season in the Manchester i District [Appointments later on") That Powerful Black Draught Stallion, YOUNG CONQUEROR. YOUNG CONQUEROR is a beautiful black horse, with splendid bone, temper, and symmetrical proportions, and is, no doubt, one of the Best Draught Stallions bred in the colony. Young Conqueror was bred in the Fatea district, and his first season's foals— now three years old — are splendid specimens of draught stock. He was foaled in 1885, got by Old Conqueror, dam Olive. Olive, by Surprise out of Wellington mare, whose daui was imported from Tasmania. Olive has taken four first prizes at Hawera A. & P. Shows, and has never been beaten in the show ring. Young Conqueror has taken first prize as a twoyear old at Hawera A. <& P. Show, and has not been in the show ring since. Young Conqueror has a splendid constitution, is a sure foal getter, and is thoroughly staunch in any kind of barness. Ho has been carting from Patea Meat Canning Works to Patea Railway Station for over two years, and during that time has very frequently taken loads of over two tons dead weight singlehanded. "YTOUNO TORPKDO,aged 4 years, is JL the true type of a coaching stallion, and is, in fact, the best specimen to be seen on the West Coast. He is a black horse, stands 15 hands 2} inches high, with beautiful flat bone, and well coupled together, showing great strength of muscle. He is by Torpedo, out of the trotting mare Slate ; Torpedo is by Musket, imp. — Fanny Fiaher, a bay mare bred by Mr H. He was foaied November, 1885, and is therefore nine years old this season. Sire Rob Boy; grandsire. Lord Pal» merston, winner of many first prizes Glenoabey's dam, Darling, by Prince Charley, has an unbeaten record, taking first prizes for 12 yoars, being second once only to her own sister ; she also took champion prize tor best mare, wet or dry, on the Show Ground. He took first prize when two yoars old, and also when five years old, competing against aged horses. Glengarry will be at the service of breeders from this date until January 31st, 1895.
