FEILDING MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS.

We congratulate the Burgesses aud residents of Feilding on the fact that within the next twelve monebs at the most, they will possess Municipal Buildings in keeping with tho pro gressive character of the Borough. We are informed by Mr Giosen, the local manager of the Colonists Land and Loan Corporation, that the London Directors, acting ou tho advice of Mr Pearee the local director in Wellington, and Mr Qiesen, havo not only de cided to grant the site chosen during tho Mayoralty of Mr Edmund Good bebere, but in order to save expense to the burgesses to advance the money required for the erection of the buildiug, such money to be repayable iv annual sums equal to tho amount of rent the Council pays for the premises now occupied. This liberality will obviate any necessity for the Council taking a poll for a loan under the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act and be a direct saving to the ratepayers.
