■. +■ [From Our Own Correspondent.-] The members of the Excelsior Lodge, No. 15, held a meeting in their Hall last Thursday evening. About 50 were present. Tomp. kins, A.S. ; Sister E. Mitchell, chaplain ; Bro. W. Tucker, Treasurer; Bro. W. Mackay, F.S. ; Bro. 0. West, Marshall ; Sister A. Burgess, D.M. ; Bro. W. Clark, G. ; Bro. Greig, S. After the ceremony three new members were initiated, the now officers fulfilling their duties in this respect most efficiently. Five oandi* dates were proposed for initiation at the next meeting of tho Lodge. "' A m,dst enjoyable pichif "was held last Friday in Mr Staff's paddook, in 6onnee« with the Primitive Metliodist Sunday School. At about H Q'olook the youugatcrs were all mustered, ip th* Square, and, haying been formed in order of procession, wero marched to the picnic ground, where a sumptuous lunch was provided. The usual games, races, etc., were heartily indulged in. After tea an entertainment was held in the Chapel. Mr J. Clover, superintendent of the Sunday School, presided. Dialogues, readings, recitations, and addresses were well given and much appreciated. At the close prizes were distributed among the sohpJars, o^ whom neavjy §i^ty TrerV jn attendance. Ato.gath.er the day waja one or unalloyed pleasure, and everyone was satisfied with the outing. The beautiful weather, and the friendly spirit which actuated one and all, <JUI much to make the whole affair a success. The Brethren have been holdiug a series of meetings here during the past few days, witb much profit.
