The prisoner, when io gaol attacked the warder, took his keys and escaped. The governor of the gaol attempted to intercept him, but was knocked down and his skull fractured He is now in a preear ious condition The prisoner afterwards escaped Adblalpe, This Day. A labourer, named Pateman, living at Oronoo, shot his wife dead, and when arrested himself dropped lifeless, it ia supposed frotg tjjo effects of poison.
