THE CREAMERY AT FOWLER'S.
i Our Birmingham correspondent iv another column informs us that the Birmingham creamery will start operations on the Oth prox. This is not only good news for the dairy fanners but for the business people iv that pushing township. The amouut of ready money which the suppliers of milk te the creamery will have at tliei^ disposal after only a months' operations will be a pleasant surprise even to those who have been most sanguine iv their anticipations, -and a source of sorrow to those pessimists who could onlj r see disaster iv the enterprise. The reputatiou of the butter made at the Cheltenham Dairy Factory, with which the creamery is connected, is now firmly established, and it is a pleasure to know that so many more farmers are now certain to reap a share of the advantages of the scheme of the original promoters than was hoped for at its initiation. We have only one regret on this subject which is that the proposal to have a creamery in the town of Feilding was not supported, yet we feel confident that in the near f nturo the work will be again taken in hand and carried to a successful issue. It is seldom that such attempts succeed the first time.
