0 I Per Press Association ") i Paiiiatua, This Day. ! The bridge over the Tieaumea river : at Ngatnri, on the road from Pahiatuato Makuri, was opened yesterday by the Hon. Mr Seddon, who was accompanied by the Hon. Mr Carroll, Mrs Seddon, and Messrs Hogg and Hall, members for the adjoining districts. About eight hundred people assembled on the bridge, where Mr Bolton, County Chairman, welcomed the Premier aud party. Mrs Seddon broke a bottle of champagne on tho pier and declared the. bridge open. Luncheon followed, and was partaken of on the bridge, where a number of toasts were proposed and duly responded to. The bridge is a very important one and cost £2500.
