West Coast A. and P. Show.
♦- The Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Annual Show will be held at Palmerston p to-morrow and Thursday, and the affair 1 promises to be one of the most success- '' ful which has yet taken place. Agricultural implements and machinery will be more largely represented than on any 1 previous occasion, while the entries of I cattle, sheep, poultry, etc., are also very : numerous. If the weather holds fine • the attendance will, doubtless, be ex- ' ceedingly large, especially on the second : day. To-morrow there will be two hunters' and one polo pony competitions, 1 in addition to the hunters' and two pony ■ leaping competitions on the second day, and these will, naturally, make the show more attractive to tne general public. A large number of cattle and sheep arrived in Palmerston yesterday and to* day by various trains. Special trains will run from Wanganui and Marton on ' Thursday, leaving Feilding at 10.20 a.m. and 11.57 a.m., respectively, and return* ing from Palmerston at 5 p.m. and 6.40 p.m.
