(?EB FBESS ASSOCIATION). ft api kb, This Day. A fire broke out on the barque Sarah Bidgway, moored alongside the wharf about 5 o'clock this morning. The Spit Firo Bridge was speedily in attendance. The flames were subdued after about four feet of water had been poured into her from six lengths of hose an abund, ant supply of water being available. The fire broke out in sail locker but the oause is at present unknown. She had on board, amongst other cargo, 3500 cases of kerosene a great many of which had the wood burned. Had the fire been permitted to burn ten minutes longer a serious explosion was inevitable.
