Messrs Monteith and O'Meara's report : — At Palmorßtou on the 10th, our entry was principally confined to store bullocks. Buyers were chary of bidding at first, on account no doubt of the large advertised entry at the various sales of the day, but tho bulk were eventually disposed of at prices favorable to vendors. Our entries at Ashurst on the 17th were small, but competition "rvai spirited and every line cleared under the hammer. We had a full entry of cattle and several lines of sheep at Woodville on tho 19th. The bulk of tho cattle found ready demand at ruling rates, but sheep wore neglected.
