Pohangina Public Hall.
Mr Pirani, M.H.R., received the following letter from the Commissioner of Crown Lands :— " Re site for the Public Hall at Pohangina. In reply to your letter of the Bth inst., forwarding letter with reference to the above matter, I have the honor to Inform you I am prepared to recommend that section 7, Block V, be set aside for the town hall site, but consider the corner sections should be kept for post and telegraph offices, which will probably be required there some day. Please advise me whether thi?__proposal meets with the wishes of the residents ; and, if so, I will have the section gazetted for the purpose." John H. Baker.
