\j - | (Per Press Association). Wellington, October 17 1 The Synod agreed to a motion in favor of offering prayers on Sundays for the Governor, Government, and Parliament when in session. It was mentioned ■ the finances are in a deplorable condition and would require careful attention. The Rev A. 8. Innes Jones moved. '* That a select committee be appointed to inquire into the advisability of a readjustment of the boundaries between the parochial district of b'eildmg und the Pohangina Missionary District ; such committee to consist of the Venerable Archdeacon Towgood, Eev J. M Devon ish, Messrs Wbibley, Clere, Major Campbell, and the mover." Mr Whibley see •nded the motion, which was carried on the yoieea. Auckland, October 17. At the Diocesan Synod a motion for giving women power to vote at parish meetings, and the election of Synodsmen, was lost by 42 to 33.
