IT is hereby publicly notified that a Special Meeting of the Council will beheld in the County Chambers, Sanson, on WEDNESDAY, 14th November, 1894, at 2 30 p.m., to confirm a resolution passed at a special meeting held on 10th October, instant, striking a Special Rate of five-six-teenths of a penny in the £ over part Section 149, Block XIV, Oroua, now in occupation of Charles Bull, also parts of section 153, Rangitikei-Mana-watu, Block A, township of Sandon, now in occupation of Mrs James Whisker, and Messrs A. Dermer, E. Jennins, G. Boness, G. L. Hadow, aud E. Jackumn — such urea being part of tbe Mount Steward Riding, and to be known as the Oroua Special Rating District — lo pay interest and sinking fund on a loan of £250, to be raised under the provisions of " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886," for protecting the Bank of the Oroua River ; such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for 26 years, payable in one instalment on Ist Jnuary in each year.
