Young Conqueror was bred iv the Patea district, and his first season's foals -now three years old are splendid specimens of draught stock. He was foaled in 1885, got by Old Conqueror, dam Olive. Olive, by Surprise out of Wellington mare, whose dam was imported from Tasmania. Olive has taken four first prizes at Hawera A. & P. Shows, aud has never been beaten in the show ring. Young Conqueror has taken first prize as a twoyear old at Hawera A. St P. Show, and has not been in the show ring since.
