BANK KATES OF INTEREST. SENTENCE FOR STEALING GOLD BANKING FRAUDS. TEMPORARY INSANITY. (Per Press Association.) Sydnby, October 12 Barrett, who pleaded guilty to stealing gold from a mine at Lucknow, was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment. Augustus Miller, one of the prisoners sentenced in 1892 to seven years' imprisonment in connection with a Bank fraud, will be released immediately. The Government has under consideration the release of certain other prisoners connected with Bank swindles, It is expected that the Bank rate of interest will be reduced to 3 per ceni next week.
