Hastings Rackcourse, This Day. There is fine weather for the opening day of the Jockey Club's Spring meeting. Tho going is soft.. The attendance is large. October Handicap — Spinfeldt 1, Westmere 2, Cyrus 3. All started. Spinfoldt won easily. Dividond, £5 9s. Hurdles— Rusicus 1, Tricky Jack 2, Repo 3. Won by four lengths.
