— ♦ (PER PRESS ASSOOIAIONI. Wellington, Sept. 29. The football match between tbe Waira rapu and Wellington Unions was played on the Showground at Petone this after* noon. About 800 people were present The weather was fine bnt the ground was rery greasy in parts. The visitors were the favorites but Wellington had all the l>e>t of the game and showed superiority in all departments. In the first spell Kelly scored a try, which Duncan conver ted, and this was the only score in the first half In the second spell Wellington scored two goals from penalty kicks, and Wairarapa also scored a penalty goal the game ending — Wellington eleven points, Wairarapa three.
