The Shearers' Difficulty in Australia.
♦ ■ ■ (PER PRKSS ASSOCIATION.) Brisbank, Sept. 29. The official reason given for declaring the strike off is that the shearers consider they have won a fair advantage this year, and it is necessary to prepare for another tussle with the employers in the near future. The man Prior, for attempting to shoot a shearer while the roll was being called at Wellshot Station, has been souteuced to six years' imprisonment.
