A meeting of the shooting committe< •was held at the Empire Hotel lastuight Present— Lieut. Bray (in the chair) Sergts Pethrick, Aitken, Corp Parker Vols. Scott, Saywell, Evaus and th< Secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary reported that he had arranged for a marker for the season. The shooting rules as drafted hy the Rub-committee were then considered and adopted. Several accounts were passed for pay ment. It was decided that competitions foi all classes commence on Wednesday next, starting at 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. anc that the ranges be as follows :— Class A 800, 500 and 600. Class B, 200, 300 anc 500; seven shots at each range; twe sighting shots allowed. 'Class C, 200 anc 800 ; 7 shots ; no sighters. The New Zealand Clothing Factor; having promised a pair of trousers anc Dr Charlton a silver medal to be firec for, it was decided to allow the formei to Class B, and the latter to Class C both to be won three times in successior or five times at intervals. Class A. will continue the competitior for Mr Horace Basting's silver watch. The following is the classification ol members: — Class A. (Martini).— Lieut Bray, Sergts. Saywell, Petherick, Aitken Corp. Parker, Vols. T. Evans, J. Evans F. Y. Letbbridge, G. Letbbridge, Jas Scott, Q. Saywell. Class B.— Captain Kirton, Corps. Boyd, McMurray, Vols. E. Bennett, Coombe, Dougherty, Parks, Richards, Wilson and Walters (the twe latter with right to shoot in Class A). Class C— Lieut. Halcombe, Col.-Sergt, Milson, Sergt. Gould, Bandmaster Daw, Bugler Haybittle, Vols. J*. Bennett, Biiderbeck, Br am well, Brooks, Brennau, Clark, Card, Charlton, Fisher, Gibbs, Groves, Gosling, Humphries, James, Lankshear, F. Mann, McLeod, McFarlane, Matravers, Marston, G. Mends, W Mends, J. H. Scott, A. Wilson, Walter and Tavlor.
