RANGITIKEI SPRING MEETING. Tho attendance at the Rangitikei Spring Meeting yesterday was very good. Several showers fell during the day, and the course was very heavy. The results of the events not published in last night's Star are as follow b : — Hack Hurdles—Hopeful l.^Lady Clare 2, Kags 3. Also ran — Narrate, Spreydon, Bangipai, Splithnk, Besant. Won easily by four lengths. Time, 3min 7sec. Dividend, £16 17s. Spring Handicap— Cyrus 1, Westmere 2, King John 3. Also ran — Johnny Faa, Cordelia, Lebel, Btranger, Allanadale, Pihanga. A grand race. Cyrus went away with a strong lead from the start, and was never beaded Westtnere came very fast at the finish, being beaten on the post by a nose ; King John a good third. Time, 2min 21 1 5 sees. Dividend, £3 12s. Hack Eace-The Artist 1, Sylvia Park 2, Bloomsbury 3. Also ran— Bonovoree, Puella, Fortune, Tenby, Kopere, Finesse. Won comfortably by a length. lmin 51secs. Dividend, £3. Final Handicap— Musket 1, King John 2, Cordelia 3. Also ran — Kal mea. Won easily. Time, lmin 49 sees. Dividend, £3 4s. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunbdin, September, 26. The Dunedin Jockey Club's programme shows a reduction of £380 for four meetings. The Cup distance is reduced to one mile six furlongs 132 yards.
