After the Ministerial statement re* garding the proposed Bank amalgamation, tne Government Advances to Settlers Bill was in Committee, but on reading clause 2 progress was reported, no alteration having been made. Lands Improvement and Native Land Acquisition Bill was committed without material amendment. The House rose at 3.30 a.m.
