Birmingham Creamery.
:;;:i ■■-'■': \.-rrv-. " ♦ -. . ■ "" The building for the Birmingham Crtantery mt> how completed, and the machinery '^will be placed in position in a s|e^ days. We understand that it will be ready for milk about the middle of next month (October). This ought to be eminently satisfactory to the farmers of Birmingham They have worked hard and waited long for a creamery in their midst, and now that it is an accoinpliahed fact we have no doubt they will do all they can to make it a success. Unfortunately the Kimbolton road, north of the creamery, is still impassable for vehicular traffic, so that if there Bhould' i b©imu«^ rain during ; the next fortnight thaße residing in that direction vwill be unable to send their milk. The worst of the holes have been filled up recently! but in many places it is still so bad as to be quite useless fpjr the. purpose above referred to. We have hea^ so much about this piece of road that .we are about as sick of it as the unfortunate settlers themselves. As all the traffic passes over it to the Pemberton and other settlements beyond, it is simply a disgrace that it should be left in such a condition. We understand there is now some . money available for this very work, and trust that' steps will be taken at once -to put it in proper order, and that we have; heard the last of it. v ■'■';;; : ';r; : H.r^.' ?^'':'r^ : ; : ,0-
