Campbelltown Notes.
(from our own correspondent.) The exceedingly fine weather has been ■ taken advantage of by farmers during 1 the past week and they have been busy getting in their crops. 1 Shearing operations have been commenced during the past week in this \ district, Mr R. B. McKenzie being about the first to start. 1 Members of the Excelsior Lodge held an amusing meeting last Thursday even--1 ing. It was a Sisters' Surprise, and I should say the Brothers got a great fall. ■ At the previous meeting the Brothers i had a laugh at the Sisters, but on this ' occasion the fun was reversed, as the ' Sisters got the Brothers driving nails s into a well-seasoned piece of rata lefthanded. A large plum pudding was first i prize There was also a sewing competition, the first prize being a neck tie and the second a pencil case. Milk is now being supplied every Sunday morning, and tbe factory has the i same appearance as on week days, but everything is cleared up soon after nine o'clock. The Rev. J. D. Russell will hold the usual monthly service here to-morrow - afternoon, iv the schoolhouse, after which holy communion will be administered.
