WI FBB8» ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, Sept. 21. Patrick Franklin, a young man who brought some draught bones from Svrinev recently was accidentally killed m Durham street. He was leading a horse in a cart, when the horse took charge and be was jammed with the shafts of the cart agaiDst the wall of a building. Hit neck, arm?, and some ribs were broken. An inquest on the body of Mrs Alice Ann Harris, Kihikihi, was held to«day. The evidence shewed that deceased had bad an operation performed yesterday afternoon by Dr Wilkins for removal of an eyeball under chloroform. The operation was performed successfully and she seemed to recover from the chloroform all right, and she was taken to her lodg* iag*. She took fainting fits in the evening, and Dr Wilkins used remediei, but she died at nine o'clock. The woman was delicately inclined.
