The fine cro»sbrad market ia firmer, also the market for scoured wools. The attendance of both | Home and foreign buyers is good. The ! total quantity available, including wool | held over from last series, is 963,000 bales. 79,000 bales of which have been forwarded to the manufacturing distriots direct. I ' Messrs Murray, Boberts, and Co, re,, ceived to-dsy the following cable message from Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., London, regarding the wool sales:— The sales have opened with a large attendance of whom Home buyers are the- principal. For merino the market shows no change. Crossbreds have advanced a shade. The New York State Bopubhcan Con. vention denounces the surrender of 8,000,000 dollars yearly of wool duty.
