The Committed decided after hearing the evidence of the Chief Railway Commissioner . and the Chairman of the Manawatu Railway Company, that it was of opinion an improvement in the service was necessary but could not recommend the payment of a subsidy to the Manawatu Company, though it suggested that the service on the Government lines be improved.
