| Per Press Association] Wellington, September lß. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Legislative Council on meeting thie afternoon at once adjourned out of respect to the memory of the late Hon. Robert Hart. The Labour Bills Committee before the adjournment brought up a report on the SShops and Shops Assistants Bill with amendments, the principal one being in Clause 3, compulsory half holiday. The amendment is that railway book-stall keepers shall be compelled to observe weekly half holiday. The Committee further reported they had no recommendation to make with regard to the Bill, which was ordered to be committed next day. The Council then adjourned.
