It is to be hoped the Dairy Bill will have come into operation by the commencement of tbe •eaaon, and. if so, there ia every reason to expect that the facilities for despatching dairy produce from the factories to the direct steamers will be so improved that the produce can be landed in London in a much better co_dition than has been possible hitherto, and to enable New Zealand to complete successfully with Victoria. It is estimated that aometbing like four thousand tons of butter and cheese will be exported from the West Coast this uminti.- N.Z Times.
