■ ■ » The election to fill three vacancies ia the Feilding Borough Council, which took place yesterday, resulted as follows : — Goodbehere, E 189 Allan, A. R. 142 Bailey, Waltor A. L ... 185 Thompson, J. C 106 The three former gentlemen polling the highest were elected. Mr J. C. Thompson, the unsuccessful candidate, has seived several terms in the Coun cil and with Messrs Bailey find Lethbridge retired by rotation. Mr Bailey was elected to the Council some months ago for the first time to fill an extraordinary yacancy. Mr Goodbehere has served as Councillor and Mayor, while Mr Allan is elected as Councillor for the first time. There are on the burgess roll 365 voters with 456 votes, and of these 226 were recorded with 5 informal votes.
