A football match was played at Awahuri yesterday afternoon' between the Red Stars (Feilding) and the Awa» huri Maoris, resulting in a. if in for the former by 10 points to 6* (two tries^. Hamilton scored two tries and F. Foster potted a goal for the ''winders. On Saturday a match will be played on the Oval between 'teams representing the north and south of the Manawatu Union, the latter Being composed of the Pirates and Kia Kaha 1 (of P*lmerston) and the former of the Feili ing, Marton, and Birmingham Clnhe. The New Squth^ Wales team play Canterbury to-day and the New Zealand team on Saturday.
