(PUB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wflmngton, Sept. 10. At a full meeting of the Stewards of (he Wellington Racing Club the programme for the season 1894-95 was dis* cussed. The dates fixed for their meetings are; — Spring meeting. — Thursday and Saturday 22nd and 24th of November ; Summer mooting Tuesday (Anniversary Day) and Thursday 22nd and 24th of January, 1865 : — Autumn and Steeple chase meeting (combined) Wednesday and Friday May Ist and 3rd. The added money for the meetings is L 950, L 1855, L 1215 respectively an increase of L 560 on the stakes paid past season. Mr J. O. Evett was re- appointed handicapper. In view of the legislation requiring a reduction in the number of race meetings the committee decided to recommend the discontinuation of following '•— Atura Maori Racing Club, United Hunt Club, Wairarapa Hunt Club. Ponrua J. 0. and Pahiatua J. C. or Lower Valley J. C. In connectipn with the Wellington Cup. the stewards have made the condition that winners of handicaps of the value' of 1(JO soya after the declaration of weights maybe ro-handicapped, Sydney, September 10. The settling over the Hawkeshur? meeting to-night brought about a little more animation in the betting on the Metropolitan meetings The performance of Royal Rose in the Hawiiesbury Handicap has brought him into prominence and he is now in equal favour with Paris and The Possible for the principal event at 100 to 10. The other quotations are — 100 to 8 the Frier, 100 to 7 Oxide and Lady Trenton, and the others from 100 to 5.
