NEW SOUTH WALES v. SOUTH CANTERBURY.
VICTORY FOR THE WELSHMEN. [PEB PBEB9 ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, September 10. The match New South Wales v. South Canterbury was played to-day. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance on the ground. The local men were completely outplayed, and the visitors won by the large score of 23 points to nil. Tries were secured by Galloway, Hanna, Carson, and Cobb, in the first spell, while in tho second spell Eyre, Galloway, and Surman, got tries, and Cobb converted one by Galloway. The game was on the whole very open, and New South Wales played a hard game all through, keeping their opponents moving on the defensive.
