[PSK PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sept. 5 At a meeting of the temperance party in i be Hou»e this morning the following recommendations of the subcommittee re alterations in Licensing Bill were ■greed to :— Bellamy's onlj to exist with the content of both House* ; proposed that the committee be Btruck oat in favor of an elective one with the Magistrate as chairman ; present prohibition in native districts to be maintained; club licenses to be granted by the committee ; eleven o'clock extension to be struck out ; voting paper to be simply "tail license, redaction, no license; prohibition vote to be added to reduction; separate vote to be taken for national prohibition ; conditional licenses struck out; prohibition for licenses in special district where populatiou iacreaoet struck out ; license fees to be paid into the 'reasury and to be paid back to the local bodies a* subsidies pro rata according to the population; barroai <s not to be employed ; provision for half -holiday to be inserted; giving liquor after hours as • wall as selling to be an offence; supplying children with liquor to bean offence; the provision for photographing prohibited persons was struck out, and new clauses ordered to be drafted dealing with tied houses, closing hotels on election days, and making a re* duction of at leßSt 33 per cent.
