In the Wanganui District Court yesterday the public examination of Henry Hickford was adjourned sine die. There are some members in the House, who, it is believed, endeavour to add to tbe salaries with which the country provides them by acting as special correspondents of papers in their own districts. The lucubrations of one or two of these gentleman are easily distinguishable, from tbe fact that tbe member for the district figures in tho telegraphed correspondence as a mighty hero, who is dailj and hourly moving heaven and earth for the good of his constituency, and a being upon whom apparently the whole work oi Parliament and the whole eoyernment ol tho country turns — a position which would certainly not be suspected by the ordinary observer — Post.
