Grant v. Manawatu Road Board.

We (Standard) are informed that the Manawatu Road Board has decided to defend the action brought against it by Mr Grant. Mr Baker has received instructions to work up the case, and retain the services of Mr Gully. The Supreme Court sittings commence at Wanjjanui on the 25th instant, and it is probable that the case will be heard earl y in October.
