Transfers approved: — Vicary to Hargreaves, section 33, Block V, Apiti ; Palor and Jackson to Wearue, section 52, Block 111, Pohangina. W. H. Cox's application to transfer a section in the Forest Reserve Special Settlement to Mrs'Greaney was refused &h the regulations did not allow transfers to married women, Applications for Land were granted to — 11. H. Liddle, 250 acres, Apiti; s . Ingram, junr., 200 acres ; Alfred Thompson, 450 acres ; W. F. Boise, 200 ; H. J. Wilkie, 200 ; Carl Scherf, 1 60 acres, Manganui. It was decided tq offer section 107, Block, Ap^ti, for 14 years. A i plications from special settlement association selectors for transfer were refuged. The Department decliued to allow Mr Munro of Bulls to select 670 acres additional land at Hautapu. Dr Johnston, Section 35, Block XI, Apiti, wrote with reference to his improvements. It was decided to inform him that he had misconceived bis legal position, but no immediate action would be taken under the circumstances. In reference to conversions of small runs to leases in perpetuity, it was decided to accept the advice of the head office and not grant conver sersions to occupation with right of purchase, the 4 per cent rental to commence from date of new lease. The selector of {Section 17, Block XV. i Maqgaone, applied for apprqval of mortgage, but it was decided the Board had no power to agree until the land bad been held for twelve months. In reference to residence on Section 5, Block VI. Apiti, it was decided to inform Mr H. Fowler that the Board ha 9no power to exempt him.
