Steers brought £8 to £12 ; cows and heifers, £6 10s to £11; beef-making up to 25s per f 1001 b. Store cattle — 200 were yarded 3 and there was a good demand. Year--1 lings made up 45s ; 2-year-olds to 72s - 6d ; 3-year-old eteers to £6. Store » sheep — 2700 yarded. There was a good enpuiry. Hoggets, 9s to 12s; ' extra good, 14s Id ; 2-tootha, 12s to g 148. Fat sheep — 4000 penned. There 3 was fair competition, prices being a . trifle easier. Crossbred wethers, 1 5s - to 18s 9d ; crossbred ewes, 13s to 16s ; - merino wethers, 8s to 16s 2d. Pigs — There were 270 penned. No alter. ' ation in values ; baconers, 3£d per lb.
