A football match was to have been played this afternoon at Feilding between a team to be picked from the Pirate and Kia Kaha Clubs against one to consist of players from the Feilding, Marton, and Birmingham Clubs, but on account of the former ClubH showing an unwillingness to play, and on their suggestion, the match has been indefinitely postponed. Although five players from tho southern clubs have been selected to play against New South Wales in the mutch with Wanganui-Manawatu, the northern clubs are only too anxious to meet the former, but it would seem they aro afraid of tbe result. At the request of the New Zeaiaud Rugby Union, Mr A. J. Weekes will act as referee in the New South Wales-Wanganui-Mauawatu match and the Wellington -Taranaki match.
