Press Association). London. August 27. A mass meeting of Irades Unionists and members of Radical Societies, to the number of cfO,OOO, was held in Hj-de Park. Resolutions were passed urging the Government to repair the omission to tako actiou against the House of Lords, and give a pledge to immediately abolish the Chamber of Peers. There were 11 platforms, and among the speakers were several M's P. Mr W. O'Brien said the treatment of the House of Commons by the other Chamber was worse tbau it had undergone at the hands of the Stuart Kings. The Daily Chrouicle estimates that the attendance numbered 60,000, but the other papers give it as above.
